Development Strategist. Batler Mogaka, MPH is a culturally-agile, analytically proficient systems-thinker grounded in a global health research background. Batler most recently conducted a prevalence study on neglected tropical diseases in Jinja, Uganda, collaborating with community members at a local clinic. As an immigrant from Nairobi, Kenya, Batler brings a global perspective to his work and is fluent in Swahili. His field experience and educational background has shaped a deep commitment to health equity and systems-level thinking, with a particular focus on community-based approaches and advancing justice-centered approaches. 

Batler is especially passionate about working with underserved and marginalized communities to address root causes and support sustainable, people-centered change. Based in New York City, Batler utilizes his unique background to support mission-driven organizations at English Hudson in building strategies that not only strengthen their long-term impact…but foster program growth and sustainability. Outside of work, Batler can often be found playing soccer or with his head buried in a book. He enjoys exploring art, fashion, music and different cultures…with a penchant for flair.
